September 2007 - RagingWire Enterprise Solutions (RES) is awarded the Sacramento Sustainable Business Award from Sacramento County's Business Environmental Resource Center.
July 2007 - RES announces the addition of 46,000 square feet of high-density floor space to its state-of-the-art, Class "A" Enterprise Data CenterSM facility. The new phase is engineered to provide 200 watts per square foot edge-to-edge and greater than 1,000 watts per square foot in isolated areas. RES is able to achieve this density through the use of a 4-foot raised floor, multiple 1,200-ton chillers, 30-foot ceiling height, and a patent pending electrical distribution and management system.
May 2007 - RES announces that its CEO and vice chairman, George Macricostas, and president and chief technology officer, Yatish Mishra, have been selected as finalists for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2007 Award in Northern California.
January 2007 - RES breaks ground to its Phase III addition of 46,000 square feet of high-density floor space, scheduled to be operational by July of 2007.
September 2006 - For the second consecutive year, RES is recognized by the Sacramento Business Journal as one of the 100 Fastest Growing Companies in the Capital Region. With a revenue growth rate of 73 percent from 2003-2005, RES earns a No. 47 ranking.
November 2005 - Inc. magazine names RES as one of the fastest-growing private companies in America. With a 525% year-over-year sales growth from 2001-2004, RES ranks No. 216 in the prestigious Inc. 5000 in its first year of eligibility.
October 2005 - RES is named to the Sacramento Business Journal 100 Fastest Growing Companies in the Capital Region. With an annual revenue growth rate of 120% from 2002-2004, the company cracks the Top 25 with a No. 22 ranking.
September 2005 - RES announces it has been selected by Geac® (TSX:GAC, NASDAQ: GEAC) to provide mission-critical IT services for Geac’s growing hosted expense management and related offerings. Geac is a global enterprise software company that addresses the needs of the Chief Financial Officer.
July 2005 - Former Intel senior vice president, Ron Smith, joins RES' board of directors.
February 2005 - RES unveils a comprehensive Information Security and Threat Management solution that combines highly trained 24x7 engineers with standards-based processes to deliver the level of proactive security monitoring, administration and management necessary to enhance its enterprise customers’ existing compliance capabilities.
October 2004 - RES successfully completes a SAS 70 Type I audit, which is widely considered a key requirement for companies performing data center functions for security-sensitive and regulated organizations.
September 2004 - RES achieves profitability in its initial 3½ years of business operations. The company announces it has been selected by ZANTAZ, Inc., to provide IT managed services and infrastructure solutions to increase the availability and reliability of its 24x7 business operations.
July 2004 - RES teams up with ea Consulting, an Enterprise Resource Planning firm, to offer the SAP market seamless, end-to-end Application Management Services.
June 2004 - To keep up with rapid customer growth and an increase demand for highly available and secure IT solutions spurred on by changes in financial regulations, legislation, and insurance mandates, RES builds out Phase 2 of its data center. The expansion supports the company's IT monitoring and management services, which comprise of 75% of its overall revenue.
May 2004 - RES announces annual revenues for fiscal year 2004 grew by 67%. The company's client base also jumps 105% during the same period.
January 2004 - RES joins SARTA (Sacramento Area Regional Technology Alliance), an association dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial growth and attract investment capital to the Greater Sacramento Region.
October 2003 - RES is the recipient of the prestigious Vanguard Award, given out by Comstock's business magazine. The award recognizes local companies that have helped the Capital Region's quality of life, raised the area's profile, and enhanced employees' lives.
September 2003 - RES achieves sustainable free-cash-flow-positive in less than 2½ years of business operations.
April 2003 - RES is selected by Informatica Corporation, (NASDAQ: INFA) a leading provider of business analytics software, to provide technical assistance to more than 800 Informatica employees throughout North America and Europe, including offices in Germany, France, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
March 2003 - RES is selected by NVIDIA® Corporation to provide IT services that support its back-office ERP system (SAP) and the Electrical Design and development environment, which drives the company’s award-winning advanced graphics and multimedia processing technologies. RES also announces 475% growth of sales revenue and 500% increase to its client base in 2002.
December 2002 - BlackRock, Inc., (NYSE: BLK) a publicly traded investment management firm and member of the PNC Financial Services Group (NYSE:PNC), selects RES to support its West Coast business applications.
September 2002 - One month after introducing its Global IP VPN Solution, RES signs a multi-million-dollar deal with an East Coast company to deliver an “On-Net” VPN solution that increases the availability and security of the network connectivity and data transmission performance between Photronics’ manufacturing and sales locations in Asia, Europe, and North America.
August 2002 - RES expands its rich portfolio of managed service offerings by introducing a Global Internet Protocol (IP) Virtual Private Network (VPN) Solution. The fully meshed IP network solution enables large, enterprise-class companies to improve the availability, reliability, and efficiency of their worldwide business operations.
May 2002 - RES' CEO, George Macricostas, joins Photronics' board of directors.
March 2002 - Hitachi Data Systems' COO, Dave Roberson, joins RES' board of directors.
August 2001 - RES signs multiyear deals with Fortune 1000 companies Photronics, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLAB) and Hitachi Data Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Inc. (Nasdaq: HIT).
April 2001 - Grand opening to celebrate commissioning of Sacramento’s first Enterprise Data CenterSM facility is hosted by Mayor Heather Fargo. Business operations begin in Phase I of the data center. RES' unique, conservative "phased built" business model is designed to expand useable data center floor space only when the previous phase has nearly reached full capacity to meet growing market demands.
March 2001 - Construction of RES' state-of-the-art data center is completed. RES signs multiyear, multi-million-dollar contract with its first tenant, Flextronics International, a world-class electronics manufacturing services provider focused on delivering end-to-end solutions to original equipment manufacturers.
August 2000 - A 200,000-square-foot building is selected in Sacramento, California, just outside of the San Francisco Bay area’s earthquake zone. One of the largest construction projects in the area commences to build a next-generation, Class “A” data center facility.
May 2000 - RES is founded by Constantine "Den" Macricostas, George Macricostas, and Yatish Mishra. The self-funded company is committed to providing custom IT infrastructure and managed services specifically engineered to meet the unfulfilled business needs of large, data-intensive enterprise organizations.
