(RES), a premier data center infrastructure and managed services provider, is pleased to announce it has successfully completed the SAS 70 Type II audit with no exceptions. Since beginning its SAS 70 certification initiative, RES has successfully passed the audit for four consecutive years. "SAS 70 certification is very important to RagingWire because it fulfills our Fortune 1000 clients compliance requirements," said Yatish Mishra, President and CTO of RagingWire. "Our successful completion of the Type II audit is proof of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards, reaffirming our customers confidence in our reliable and efficient processes and in our ability to safeguard their assets." Widely accepted as the industry standard for IT service providers, the SAS 70 Type II audit independently assesses and reports how well a service provider effectively manages internal controls to meet the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley legislation. This includes Control Environment, Physical Security, Environmental Protection, Computer Operations, Information Security, and Data Communications. RES initiated the SAS 70 Type II audit to ensure its clients that its operational practices and hosting services have met the latest federal requirements.
