When was RES founded?
RES was founded in May 2000 by Constantine “Deno” Macricostas, George Macricostas, and Yatish Mishra. Deno Macricostas, RES’ chairman, is the founder, chairman, and largest single shareholder of Photronics, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLAB), the world’s largest maker and supplier of photomasks for the semiconductor industry. Before leaving to start RES, George Macricostas, RES’ CEO, and Yatish Mishra, RES’ president and CTO, worked at Photronics, where they held the titles of senior vice president and vice president, respectively. Both were directly involved in setting up and running Photronics' 12 global data centers.

How and why was RES created?
While with Photronics, George Macricostas and Yatish Mishra recognized the unfulfilled need for outsourcing providers that offered standards-based managed IT services and solutions specifically engineered to fit the business needs of large, data-intensive enterprise companies. Together, they assembled a team of highly trained, experienced IT professionals and laid the foundation of our portfolio of services and solutions by constructing a state-of-the-art, Class “A+” data center facility engineered to the highest levels of fault tolerance and availability.
Since that time, RES has maintained a successful record of attracting Fortune 1000 companies with premier customer service and best-of-breed solutions.
